Austrian enamel jewellery manufacturer Frey Wille has introduced the new Nixe collection, inspired by the artist Gustav Klimt (July 14, 1862 – February 6, 1918) and his luxuriously ornamental style.
Klimt’s work is often distinguished by elegant gold or colored decoration, spirals and swirls. This can be seen in Judith I (1901), and in The Kiss (1907–1908), and especially in Danaë (1907).
The inspiration of Nixe collection is in his 1889 painting ‘Nixen’; a portrait of two water nymphs, looking out from the depths of still waters. The designs, the astute use of symbolism and the meanings behind the artwork have been explored and channelled by the FREY WILLE in-house artistic team, creating the intense ‘Nixe’ collection; a provocative range, radiating with majestic and silent power.
